Resource Centre

The Haldimand-Norfolk Resource Centre is a non-clinical program provided by and for people who live with mental illness. The vision is to enhance the self-sufficiency and quality of life for mental health consumers in an informal, family-like atmosphere. Members are empowered through peer support, advocacy, education, social and recreational activities. The Centre aids individuals in their lives. The Centre operates on a drop-in basis, and referrals are not required to participate in the programs. The resource Centre is a safe, friendly place where people can come for a visit, be supported by their peers and/or participate in the programs offered.



Programs Include

- recreational programs, outings and events
- casual and organixed social opportunities
- access to computers and the internet
- individual and group peer support
- advocacy on behalf of members and/or toward effecting policy changes at agency and government levels to             benefit all consumers
- educational programs, including speakers and skill training
- Community Mental Health lending library





All services are confidential and supplied without cost.
Services are funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
